About Us

The Altona Meadows Community Centre was built in 1991 by Hobsons Bay City Council. Since then, it is has grown into a vibrant and inclusive Community Hub meeting the needs of local residents in the following areas.

Our Services

Vocational training, Arts & Craft, Sports, Hobby, Leisure and other Recreational activities are either provided directly by tutors employed on a sessional basis or provided by external (private) tutors and trainers who hire out rooms in the facility and include:

The Altona Meadows facility is also available to individuals, clubs, business and other groups to hire out for functions, conferences, training and meetings.

The use of the Altona Meadows Community Centre as a “drop-in” facility and central meeting place for local children, youth and adults is strongly encouraged.

An information service operates from the Altona Meadows Community Centre. The service provides information and resources about other community organisations, local government services, local interest groups, community service providers and general information about what’s on and where.
